Patrick J McMahon, CPA, MST email
He is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) degree also from the University of Hartford. Patrick is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), and former President of CAAS a local non-profit organization. He is also a member of the Estate and Business Planning Council. He was selected in 2007 to serve as a member of the CSCPA Advisory Council. He works with owners of local businesses with their tax and business issues in addition to representing clients before state and federal tax authorities. He also handles Estates either as the executor or handling the tax and related probate work for clients. Currently he is a member of the Finance Committee of an area church as well as active with other organizations. Patrick joined the firm in 1975 and later became a principal with the firm.
Bertrand Rouleau, BS, CPA email
Bert is a graduate of the Bentley School of Accounting (now Bentley College) and the University of Hartford and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Bert works in the Bristol office of the firm. He is fluent in both English and French. For many years he had his own CPA firm in Bristol and has more than 30 years of experience working with both individuals as well as small businesses in many industries including construction (LLC's, partnerships and corporations). In 2007 Bert celebrated 40 years as a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Salvatore N. Fulco, CPA, MS email
He is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a Masters Degree in Accounting. He is a licensed CPA and a member of the CT Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). Nick started the firm in 1953 after having been a Bank Examiner with the State of CT Department of Banking. His experience has included working with small businesses, corporations, partnerships, certified audits of banks as well as work on criminal tax cases.
Paul Michalowski, BS - staff accountant email
Paul is an experienced accountant having worked in both public accounting as well as accounting work in industry for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of Quinnipiac University. He works in the Bristol office with clients in multiple industries. His experience ranges from individual tax returns, payroll and corporate tax issues. Paul is also a Notary Public.
Jerry Chang, MS - staff accountant email
Jerry is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a Master of Science degree in Accounting. He has passed the CT CPA examination. His experience has been both in public accounting as well as the private sector including the lodging industry. Jerry has worked in the Newington office with clients from multiple industries for several years. Jerry is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Jerry is a regular user of QuickBooks® and experienced in software installation.
Rita Houle - Office Manager email
Rita is the office manager and has experience in tax preparation. In addition she is a Notary Public and has been with the firm for more than 20 years. Rita can assist small and mid-size business with operational effectiveness in office operations. She is an officer of a local fraternal organization.
Lynn Belval - Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor® email
She has worked in the areas of accounting and bookkeeping for more than 20 years with the firm. In that capacity she has extensive experience preparing individual, partnership, Subchapter S and corporate tax returns in addition to sales tax, unemployment and other tax and accounting issues. Lynn prepares Fiduciary and Gift Tax Returns (1041 and 706 returns) for clients and has done so for many years. She handles probate accounting for Estates in the Probate Court system.
She is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor® with experience teaching, installation and trouble shooting on QuickBooks and other accounting and bookkeeping software. Her experience includes working with non-profit organizations and the related issues of 501(c)(3) organizations.
Michael McMahon, MS - Business Consultant email
He is a graduate of the University of Hartford (B.A.) and Marymount University (M.S.) and more than 20 years with the Internal Revenue Service (in the U.S. and overseas) including the Examination Division and Appeals. Michael has completed graduate level courses in Quality, financial planning, negotiations and facilitation. He is currently a member of a local Economic Development Commission and a Chairman of the Board of Trustees for a public library. He is a former Co-Administrator of the President's Quality Award Program the federal sector Baldrige Award and an examiner in the program. He has also served as an examiner for the Pioneer Valley Business Excellence Award (PVBEA) in Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the Professional Financial Planning program at Bay Path College. He is a member of several professional organizations including the Financial Planning Association, American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
